“The scene where I find my dad dead, with Nick. […] But what was actually going on when we were filming that is it was the weekend of Redding Festival. Nick had come back from Redding, um, after leaving Joe there. Joe had got very drunk the night before, and found himself waking up in some random people’s tent. He knew some people in there but then he didn’t know the rest of them. We had our prop phones on set. We were then texting Joe - who I believe that morning had just gone on the Jo Whiley show on Radio One - texting him pretending to be these people saying: “Hi, Joe,” um, you know, “nice to meet you last night, am i still gonna meet About-A-Boy-boy tonight? Is that still gonna happen?” But we were really fucking pestering him because Joe Dempsie doesn’t reply to texts. Um, we then got quite agressive towards him an hour later, saying “if you don’t reply to me, I’m gonna tell everyone what’s happened, what you did, um, you know I have friends in the Daily Mail” and that was quite fun. And he believed it for a quite a while that it was these random people, until I caved in and told him. But that was fun. It was nice, it was a really emotional scene for me, yet me and Nick were still pissing around at the time as well. ” - Mike Bailey
